University of South Australia Postgraduate Awards (USAPA)

Scholarships are offered to applicants demonstrating exceptional research potential, who meet the entry requirements to the PhD program at UniSA. Generally applicants will be studying on a full-time basis.

Advanced Community Care Association Scholarship

The Advanced Community Care Association (ACCA) Scholarship is open to applicants in UniSA's annual scholarship application process. The successful applicant will be selected on the basis of merit and the alignment of their proposed research project with the objectives of ACCA, as follows:

The ACCA scholarship has been funded through an endowment to UniSA following the dissolution of the Advanced Community Care Association in 2006.

Division of Health Sciences Post-Submission Publication Scholarships

Scheme overview:
The Division of Health Sciences recognises the importance of publishing work that is generated during a HDR candidate's program of research.

Where students have submitted their thesis for examination, the Division wishes to offer support for the purpose of publication, while the thesis is under examination.

Funding is available to students for a maximum of 12 weeks, at a pro-rata rate equivalent to the current Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) rate plus the UniSA top-up ($27,651 per annum in 2011).

Eligibility:

To apply, please read the scholarship Guidelines (Word, 25KB), complete the designated Application Form (Word, 52KB) and submit this to Dr Kate L Fitzpatrick, Research Coordinator.

Applications will be accepted prior to submission of the thesis. However, the application outcome will not be advised until the thesis and all required paperwork associated with submission (completed nomination of examiners and supervisor statement) are received in the Division Office.

School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences PhD Scholarships for 2011

The School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences is offering up to two (2) scholarships to applicants intending to commence a PhD in 2011. The scholarships are open to domestic and international applicants and offer the following key benefits:

Suitable applicants will be considering research in areas related to the research agenda of the School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences. From cancer treatment to nutrition to infectious disease, DNA and gene technology to pharmaceuticals, our researchers' interests are many and varied, but what all share is a spirit of cooperation and a desire to improve human health through innovative, outcomes-based research. http://www.unisa.edu.au/pmbs/Research/default.asp

NB: When applying, applicants should indicate 'School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences PhD scholarship' in the 'Other' option in the Scholarships section of the form, in addition to any other scholarships for which they want to be considered ie APA, USAPA.
