Dr Catherine Paquet
Research Fellow in Health Sciences
Catherine Paquet is a research fellow in the School of Health Sciences, University of South Australia since January 2008. Prior to that, she was a post-doctoral fellow in social epidemiology in the Département de Médecine Sociale et Préventive at Université de Montréal under the supervision of Mark Daniel. She obtained her PhD in consumer psychology from McGill University in 2007.
Her research investigates, in both Canadian and Australian contexts, (1) how psychosocial factors affect health-related behaviours and ultimately health status and (2) how individuals’ health-related behaviours and health and the psychosocial factors that influence them can be shaped through their immediate social or physical environs. Her technical expertise includes structural and multi-level analyses, Bayesian modeling, and psychometric methods extended to ecometric analyses in neighbourhood effects research.
