FeedingSA
FeedingSA is a new research collaboration between the University of South Australia (UniSA) and the Department of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology (DEFEST). Headed by Professor Elspeth Probyn, FeedingSA aims to investigate the food systems and culture of South Australia, exploring research areas such as regional identity creation through food, food security in SA, food chains in SA, and the impact of climate and demographic change on food consumption and production.
FeedingSA creates a cross-institutional and interdisciplinary research forum where researchers from industry and academy can synthesise their research to produce findings with local real world relevance and application.
The inaugural FeedingSA workshop was held on 2 December 2009, in Room
H6-12, Hawke Building, City West Campus, UniSA. The participants were from a
wide range of areas, drawing on both university and government research
centres.
