The Centre for Work + Life encourages prospective PhD and Honours candidates to consider undertaking research at the Centre for Work + Life. phd-students

The centre includes research academics from the fields of sociology, economics, gender studies, labour studies, psychology and public health. Joint supervision of students with staff from across the University enables study in other disciplines on related topics.

PhD scholarships at the University of SA commence in Feb/March 2010 and online applications for these must be lodged by 31 October 2009.

The centre has identified topics of current interest (PDF 179 kb) that could become PhD proposals. The centre's charter (PDF 301 kb) indicates its general areas of interest.

A summer scholarship at the centre in 2009/2010 may be possible through an EAS Undergraduate Research Vacation Scholarship for UniSA undergraduates, who will in 2009 complete their third or honours year.

Potential candidates are encouraged to register their interest in research by contacting the Centre Manager, Catherine McMahon.
