redesigning pedagogies in the north

This project brings together students, teachers and researchers to develop new forms of curriculum and pedagogy in the middle years of schooling. The project aims to develop a university-school professional learning community as a 'zone of innovation' that supports educational action research projects.
The central research question for the project is:

How can a university-school network collaboratively build professional and scholarly knowledge and practice for middle schooling curriculum and pedagogy that engages young people's lifeworlds in public schools of Adelaide's northern area?

This Australian Research Council Linkage Grant project is the product of collaboration between:

• The Centre for Studies in Literacy, Policy and Learning Cultures
• The Northern Adelaide State Secondary Principals' Network
• The Australian Education Union
• The State Government Social Inclusion Unit
• The Department of Education & Children's Services
