Associate Professor Dale Bagshaw
Dale Bagshaw, the Coordinator, has published and researched widely in the areas of mediation, conflict resolution and violence. Her work in the field of mediation and conflict management has included:
- convening and chairing three major mediation conferences: the inaugural National Mediation Conference in Australia in 1993, the Second International Mediation Conference in 1996 and the inaugural Asia-Pacific Mediation Forum in 2001
- establishing and chairing the South Australian Dispute Resolution Association from 1988 to 1999
- chairing and participating in national councils, advisory positions to the Commonwealth Government inaugural Chairperson of the Family Services Council and a member of the Family Law Council, advisory to the Commonwealth Attorney General, a member of the National Council for the Prevention of Child Abuse, advisory to the Commonwealth Minister for Family Services
- President of the World Mediation Forum 20012003 and Vice-President 20032008
- Inaugural President of the Asia-Pacific Mediation Forum, 20012008
- Director of Postgraduate Studies and Program Director for the Doctor of Human Service Research, Master of Conflict Management, Graduate Diploma in Conflict Management and the Graduate Certificate in Mediation in the School of Social Work and Social Policy, University of South Australia
