The HRI has an MOU with the Department of Premier and Cabinet's
Social Inclusion Unit (SIU). Through the MOU, HRI researchers have
engaged in collaborative research projects and are currently working
with the SIU to develop a Regional Framework for Social Inclusion in
South Australia. This involves pilot research in two SA communities to
explore how to optimise changing community dynamics in regional areas to
encourage greater social inclusion. This work will progress to a
longer-term statewide project and further funding.
