Hawke Research Institute for Sustainable Societies (HRISS) conducts world
class cross-disciplinary research in the humanities and social sciences that
supports an ecologically diverse and sustainable world of tolerant and
inclusive democratic societies.
In so doing, the HRISS aims to sustain an open, inclusive and supportive working environment for its researchers that nurtures careers, celebrates achievements and promotes research innovation.

HRISS is the research body of the Hawke Centre and includes researchers from the Division of Education, Arts and Social Sciences, the Division of Business, the Division of Information Technology, Engineering and the Environment and the Centre for Regional Engagement, Whyalla at the University of South Australia. It encompasses ten main research concentrations. |
