Collaborative events

The Hawke Centre has a number of collaborative arrangements with organisations to co-present events which are open to the public.

Adelaide Thinkers in Residence

The Hawke Centre commenced a collaborative arrangement in 2003 with the Department for the Premier and Cabinet's Thinkers in Residence program to manage their public lectures.  Since then lectures on a diverse range of issues have been presented: greening Adelaide - bio-innovation - multimedia - water challenges. 

Adelaide Thinkers in Residence brings world-leading thinkers to live and work in Adelaide to assist in the strategic development and promotion of South Australia.

The Hawke Centre is supporting the International Alert: The BIG issues series - a public forum for dialogue, discussion and quesions during 2005 and 2006 with World Vision Australia and AusAID.

This is a series of bi-monthly forums on key international development issues involving and affecting the Australian community. 
 

OECD logoOECD International Futures Programme

The Hawke Centre is a contributor to the OECD International Futures Programme and has supported projects relating to space, security, and regional integration in the Asia-Pacific.  Databases, conference and research reports and other occasional publications are being added to the University Library collection.

The Hawke Centre and the Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce co-present the Australia-Israel Hawke Lecture each year on a topic of interest to both countries. 
 

UNIFEM Australia

UNIFEM logoIn 2004, the South Australian branch of UNIFEM has consolidated links with the University of South Australia and with the Hawke Centre to launch UNIFEM Informs, a series of seminars on social issues.

Seminars are planned each year to coincide with World Health Day (7 April) and the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (25 November).
