Adelaide White Ribbon Breakfast

UN International Day of the Elimination of Violence against Women

Wednesday 25 November

Banquet Room, Adelaide Festival Centre

7.00am for 7.15am start - 9am

The UN White Ribbon Campaign is a male-led initiative, and men have a crucial role to play in stopping all violence against women.

The White Ribbon Foundation of Australia aims to eliminate violence against women by promoting culture-change around the issue. The major strategies to achieve this are a national media campaign as well as education & male leadership programmes aimed at men and boys around Australia. All funds received by the White Ribbon Foundation will support the implementation of these strategies.

Co-Hosted by Media Personalities Leigh McClusky and Peter Goers with Guest Speaker – Professor Michael Kidd AM, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Flinders University and recipient of the Australian Medical Association Award for Excellence.

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd recently launched the "All Aussie Men Should Swear" campaign – log on at www.myoath.com.au and swear never to commit or condone violence against women – put your name in the swear jar!
