Women in Science and Engineering

Getting there and Staying

Baroness Professor Susan Greenfield

Thursday 12 August 2004

Roundtable discussion with Adelaide’s Thinker in Residence, Baroness Professor Susan Greenfield on Women in Science and Engineering.

Susan is a leading advocate for Women in Science. Susan was commissioned in 2003 to write a report on women in science for the British Government. She will share her findings in that report, as well as her experience and work as a scientist, as an example to all women with an interest in a career. This forum will engage women of all ages, backgrounds and levels of education.

A two-way dialogue to inspire, invigorate and promote those involved to reach their potential, to question everything and to add ideas.

This roundtable discussion will be relevant to those at every stage of their career (from students to professors). A workshop will follow Professor Greenfield’s presentation; where the thinking of the participants will be collected and collated with the aid of new technology (Zing!).
