Totally wild recognition for education graduate
A UniSA education graduate has lead her class to victory in a national conservation competition.
Amanda Circosta’s Year 8 class form St Mary’s college was recently named the winner of the Go Totally Wild With WWF competition.
The competition, open to first year high school students, aims to encourage initiative, creative communication and leadership in tackling local environment issues.
Schools throughout Australia were invited to submit class projects that would contribute towards saving local animal and plant species, and raise community awareness of important environmental challenges.
Circosta’s class’ entry was judged the winner from the thousands of entries, and part of the prize included the class being featured on Network Ten’s Totally Wild. Amanda is a recent graduate from the Bachelor of Education (specialisation) program in secondary science/society and environment.
