Exploring Australian business
A group of 40 Chinese Master of Business Administration (CMBA) graduates spent some time in South Australia during October to explore business opportunities.
The CMBA graduates completed the course under a partnership that UniSA has with the Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (JUFE) in China.
Deputy Head of JUFE’s delegation to Australia, Ms Qi Lingbo said this is the first time a tour like this has been organised for the CMBA graduates.
"This tour will serve as a platform to integrate resources and strengthen the association between Jiangxi and UniSA, and we might also find business opportunities.
"The Jiangxi-UniSA MBA program has run for six years and the focus has been on the theoretical teaching side, but we now want to build on that and put our business skills into practice.
"We are laying the foundation for future graduates – we will bring back information and hopefully it will provide opportunities for other graduates."
The tour included visits to Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne. In Adelaide, the visit to UniSA included seminars from Austrade, Norman Waterhouse Lawyers, the Department of Trade and Economic Development and a wine tasting with Wisdom Creek Wines. These seminars were held on the City West campus, and the day was considered a highlight of the tour.
The organisers are hoping it will be the first of regular tours.
