Recognition for UniSA international postgraduates
Dr Seidu Malik, a graduate of UniSA’s Samson Institute, has been awarded a two-year resident postdoctoral research fellowship at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta by the American Society for Microbiology.
Graduate of UniSA’s International Graduate School of Business, Dr Sharon Eng has received a special commendation from the International Society of Third Sector Research (ISTR). Dr Eng received one of two honourable mentions for the best doctoral research on non-profit organisational management at the 8th International ISTR conference, held in July in Barcelona. Dr Eng is an American citizen who has been working in Indonesia since 1992. Her area of interest is NGO organisational effectiveness and her doctoral thesis focused on Indonesian grassroots NGO perceptions of effectiveness.
Mandarin-language MBA graduate
Xu Xiao Fang recently graduated from UniSA’s Mandarin-language MBA in Hong Kong. He has been working in finance area for 15 years. His wife Zhang Xiao Zhe graduated from the University’s English-language MBA in 2005.
She has been the finance manager at the Bao Dao Trading Company in Hong Kong for seven years. They are shown at this year’s awards ceremony with Professor Helen Thorne of the International Graduate School of Management.
