Award winning physios

UniSA physiotherapy graduate Mark Johns (pictured) and his staff at the Village Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic in Golden Grove have won the Northern/North Eastern 2006 Small Business Award (health and wellbeing category).

Johns, a past winner of the Australian Physiotherapy Association’s Elma Casely Prize for clinical and human relationship skills, said he was proud of his team which includes fellow UniSA physio graduates Matt Fallon and Melissa Olech.

"Winning this award was fantastic feedback from both our patients and peers, and has led to many positive outcomes," he said. "It confirmed our young practice is on track in achieving its mission to excel and ‘go the extra mile’ for its patients. And it has also boosted staff morale with recognition of achievement for a job well done."

The award was presented at a gala dinner at Adelaide’s Hilton Hotel.

The Small Business Awards are an initiative of Messenger Newspapers to recognise and reward small businesses across Adelaide for providing outstanding products and high standards of service. Businesses are nominated by members of the public.
