Golden Key on the road
Published: March 26, 2006
The Golden Key committee took to the road to meet new students and raise awareness about Golden Key on campus. First out was the International Students orientation day on City East campus.
We gathered with other clubs and societies on City East plaza to set up our information table. During the day we met many new students from all over the world, most of which had never heard about Golden Key before. We handed out lost of brochures and information materials and invited people to come along to our Pub night.
In the first week of uni we took part in the Students Association's Travelling road show and when around and set up our information booths on every campus. We met many both new and continuing students and talked to them about the benefits of being a Golden Key member and the criteria for joining. Again, we invited people to come along to our pub night.
On March 2 we organised a pub night on the East End Exchange open both to members and non-members to finish off our Campus Awareness events. East End Exchange kindly sponsored us with the free venue and we had the front bar all to ourselves.
