My Advantage Development Experience

MyAdvantage is the capstone component of Global Experience and consists of three aspects, skills development, application activity and reflection. The MyAdvantage Development Experience can be completed once students have attended an Orientation session, be either enrolled in or have successfully completed BUSS1056, and have completed a minimum of 65 points toward the Experience Suite.

Skills Development
You will discuss and develop the methods you can employ to market yoursef to future employers, in particular building on themes from the Career Management component in BUSS1056. This will be delivered in the format of a workshop.

Skills Application
You will present a portfolio of activities completed within the program to potential employers in a structured session. This activity will allow you to apply the skills developed during the program, as well as providing a networking opportunity with potential employers, staff and other Global Experience participants.

Reflection
You will assess Global Experience and how it has contributed to your understanding of intercultural communication, networking and engagement with other cultures. In addition, you will also be required to reflect how you will use the skills and knowledge gained in Global Experience to assist them with your endeavours.

The final MyAdvantage workshop will be held at 1:30pm Tuesday 1st December 2009 in H6-10. To register your attendance please click here.
