To ease the financial burden, UniSA provides Transition Grants for students commencing undergraduate studies. These grants are available for students who can demonstrate financial need. There will be metropolitan grants of $1000 each and rural grants of $1500 to be warded in 2005 thanks to our corporate partners, HomeStart Finance, Mutual Community, Nursing Agency of South Australia, CPS Credit Union, Optus and supporters who generously donated to the scholarships campaign conducted by the UniSA (Foundation).
UniSA’s new Ability Grants will be awarded to UniSA second-year students with disabilities. Students with disabilities, including physical disabilities, sensory impairment and learning disabilities, often face additional study-related costs. This may be due to their daily transport needs, specialised equipment at home, additional reading materials or other required support. The UniSA Ability Grants aim to ease some of this financial pressure, enabling these students to more easily continue with their studies.
