Eastwoods
Scholarships
Eastwoods, a prestigious South Australian company, is supporting UniSA students from the Division of Business again in 2009 by renewing the Eastwoods Group Accounting Scholarship and the Eastwoods Group Financial Management Scholarship.
These scholarships, valued at $2,000 each, are available to students undertaking the final year of their Commerce or Applied Finance program. Recipients of the scholarships also have the opportunity to participate in six mentoring sessions with Senior Partners from Eastwoods. The sessions are designed to assist the students in their assimilation between academia and the industry.
"Eastwoods recognises the importance of formal education in our professional environment. Understanding the business from a hands-on perspective completes this education. We hope that our sponsorship helps to promote this concept". Tim White, General Manager.
SA
Water Scholarships
SA Water has been supporting students at UniSA with a diverse range of
scholarships since 2007, and each year their support continues to grow. In
2009 they are offering a total of ten scholarships which will assist
business, civil engineering, natural and built environments and indigenous
students.
A spokesperson from SA Water explained why they have chosen to support UniSA
Students. "The objective of the SA Water Scholarship Program is to provide
education opportunities to young South Australians from a range of
backgrounds including disadvantaged youth, students of academic excellence,
indigenous Australians and women pursuing study in non traditional roles".
"SA Water views UniSA as a key partner in its scholarship program and the
scholarships on offer are in line with SA Water's key business and operating
areas. We hope to ease the financial burden for students and provide some
recipients with an insight into SA Water operations through paid work
experience placements. SA Water sees the scholarships offered through UniSA
as a great way of supporting future leaders of South Australia and exposing
students to the vast career opportunities that SA Water has to offer."
