Evolution depends on adaptation. The fittest to survive recognise the signs of change and evolve their practices early. Today, there is a massive and unprecedented challenge to our business environment and physical environment: climate change. Not only is it forcing us to change the way we do business but how we fundamentally think about a business enterprise. Analytic management frameworks, like strategy development, are buckling under this radical uncertainty. This joint presentation from a multi-disciplinary perspective, explores the situation, maps how business is being reconfigured from the ground up, and suggests where global enterprise may evolve to as we negotiate the hurdles ahead.

* The date of this lecture has been changed because Nick has just been invited to present his PhD research to an international conference on management science and engineering management in China in early November, which conflicts with this lecture date. As this conference is crucial to the completion of his thesis, we have had to alter the lecture date. The good news is that Nick will deliver both the Gift of Knowledge lecture as well as his presentation in China. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
