Critical requirement to organise travel via a Preferred TSP:

 

Duty of Care - The University has an obligation to know the location of all staff members travelling on behalf of the University at all times. The University invested in a system called Flightlock over 2 years ago and this system is linked to the Travel Service Providers back end booking system. When the TSP organises a flight on behalf of a traveller, this data is then captured in Flight Lock and gives UniSA the ability to report on all travellers at the click of a button. In the event of a natural disaster or terrorist attack i.e. the Mumbai bombings, we can detect who is flying into, out of and who is currently on ground. We are then in a position to work with the TSPs to contact the travellers effected and arrange alternative arrangements to ensure the safety of all personal. It is important to note that travel is only captured in Flightlock if booked via a preferred travel provider i.e. Phil Hoffman Travel or Campus Travel.
