GDM Accommodation Service

Global Destination Management (GDM) offers an accommodation service to University staff for business and private travel. Through the means of "bulk buying" GDM has negotiated substantial discounts off standard tariffs with many 4 and 5-star hotels in Australia and overseas. The discounts are occasionally better than Government rates and other accommodation websites.

Users can access the GDM service using any network. All new users are required to register with GDM by clicking on the 'need to register' icon on the left hand side of the web page. Once the completed form has been submitted, the accommodation organiser will receive an e-mail within 24 hours containing their log-on details.

Staff are free to use the service for their own private travel, but there are two provisos -

  1. University corporate credit cards are NOT to be used to book private accommodation.
  2. Hotels are entitled to ask for proof that persons who use their facilities under these arrangements are University staff. This means that you may not book the service on behalf of any person who is not a bona fide student or employee of the University. However, there are no objections to non-staff family members accompanying the employee.
