This course is aimed mainly at people whose duties include the raising of General Ledger journals. Whilst any UniSA staff member is welcome to attend, it should be noted that access to journal processing is generally limited to Divisional and Unit Finance Officers.
The session will NOT include detailed discussion on GST journal entries, since these journals are entered by non-Finance Unit personnel only under extremely specific circumstances.
The session will include discussions on policy regarding the selection of account numbers for General Journals, and procedures covering the raising of general journals, posting and checking the results thereof.
