Safety Assist
The University is a member of the Safety
Assist program and each campus has a designated Safety Assist location -
usually being Security, although any of the buildings may be entered to
seek assistance. This follows a decision by the University to support the South
Australian Police Department's community policing initiative.
Safety Assist signage, both street signs and stickers have been strategically placed on each campus to direct people to Security (the Safety Assist location). Security staff on each campus, who are on duty 24 hours a day every day of the year, and who all hold current senior first aid certificates, will be responsible for providing assistance under this scheme. If someone utilising our Safety Assist Status asks you for assistance, please contact security staff on your campus. Dial 88 888 on any campus to connect to the Security staff.

UniSafe
UniSafe is a personal awareness safety programme developed by the
University of Queensland and adopted by many Universities throughout
Australia. The program aims to make the campuses safer for everyone by
providing services such as escorts for staff and
students who are leaving the campus after dark.
