IT Helpdesk provides an audio visual support service for all audio visual equipment located in general purpose teaching and meeting rooms to facilitate the teaching and learning activities of the University. There is a range of Audio Visual equipment also available for loan.

AV Support

Please call 88555 from any general purpose teaching space or lecture theatre for any assistance required or to report a fault.

IT Helpdesk provides audio visual support Monday to Friday 8.00am to 9.00pm; Saturday and Sunday 1pm to 5pm during teaching weeks and will respond to all audio visual equipment faults or problems of a technical nature reported by University staff. Please call 88555 to access this service.

After Hours AV support staff is available during teaching periods, Monday to Friday 5.00pm to 8.30pm and can be contacted via the normal 88555 number from any general purpose teaching room using the AV phone located in the room.

IT Helpdesk will ensure all audio visual equipment located in all general purpose teaching and meeting rooms is maintained and audited on a regular weekly basis and action any faults as required.

IT Helpdesk are responsible for:

attending all audio visual callouts for remedial action

logging all audio visual faults and problems

ensuring repairs are carried out as required

IT Helpdesk can provide instructions regarding the use of audio visual equipment.

AV Equipment for Loan

IT Helpdesk through FM Assist/Security can supply the following Audio Visual equipment (that is not already fitted) to General Purpose Teaching Spaces and Meeting Rooms (subject to availability only). Please note that this equipment is not allowed to be taken off campus. Contact your FM Assist/Security for further details.

• Overhead Projectors
• LCD / Data projectors
• Slide Projectors
• Whiteboards
• Microphone, Speaker and Stand
• Electronic Whiteboard (incurs a $10 charge)
• Notebook/Data Projector sets
• DVD player
