John Thearle "A big highlight of this degree was the opportunity to study overseas for a semester. I undertook an exchange to the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile in Santiago, Chile. During this exchange, I was able to take much of what I'd learned at UniSA into another context and apply it similarly. The opportunity to discuss issues that I'd previously covered in coursework at UniSA with Chilean students or other exchange students from different backgrounds was invaluable." |
Coming home
We encourage students on exchange to pre-register for classes for their return study period or at least have arrangements made for someone else to register them. Discuss this option with your Program Director, or relevant school office staff before you depart. This generally only needs to be done if you will be overseas during the February-June study period.
Once you arrive home you must complete a Returned Student Report Form. Completion of the Report is mandatory, even if you have completed your UniSA program. Credit for your exchange will not be processed until we have received your report. Please note, this may affect your graduation timing.
When you have returned to study life you will be invited to attend a debrief session early in the study period. This gives you a chance to discuss your experiences with others who have recently returned from an exchange and the opportunity to hear how past exchange students have settled back into life at home.
You may be asked to participate in seminars and fairs to encourage other students who are interested in going on exchange.
UniSA Student Exchange Society

Joining the UniSA Student Exchange Society
(opens in a new browser window) is a fun and rewarding way to "give
back", by organising social events for exchange students, offering advice to
students considering going on exchange, and sharing all your stories with
other local students who have also been on exchange!
Australian Exchange Alumni Association (AXAN)
AXAN (opens in a new
browser window) is the Australian
Exchange Alumni Association, a not-for-profit association to support
