The Innovation in European and Australian Mobilities Workshop aims to build upon the success of past events held by Hawke EU Centre that seek to develop and deepen the mobilities paradigm in the analysis and critique of both freely-chosen and enforced mobility.

Throughout the Workshop, national and international experts will debate current global developments in European and Australasian mobilities.

A special feature of the Workshop is the complex relationship between mobility and the digital revolution – ranging from Industry 4.0 and 3D printing to robotics and artificial intelligence.

Topics covered will include:

  • Global travel
  • Mobility experimentation
  • Enforced migration and offshoring
  • The intersections between spatial and social mobility
  • Mobility and the digital revolution

The two days of the workshop will consist of Keynote addresses delivered by visiting International experts, followed by panel discussions in response comprised of local and visiting academics.
