Studying
at the University of South Australia is more than just a study. It is a
unique lifetime experience. Before I enrolled into the course of
interest at the University of South Australia I enquired about all
universities situated in Adelaide. Numerous sources recommended the
University of South Australia and suggested it offered leading
engineering programs. My later studies proved this to be true, as I
obtained an exceptional theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
Outstanding knowledge obtained at the University helped me answer my lifetime query: How is the communication between astronauts in space and crew on Earth possible? Ever since I was a little child this question intrigued me. This was the driving force that led me into studying Information Technology and Telecommunications. IT&T did not only answer my lifetime query but the program also introduced me to a great variety of todays other telecommunication advancements.
During my studies at the University I developed a special interest in wireless communication. It still fascinates me how for example the human voice is transferred and modulated onto a carrier, invisible electric pulse, which is delivered to the other party involved in the communication process.
I could be talking into infinity about different aspects of my studies that provoked a thirst for knowledge in the area of telecommunications engineering. All credits and many thanks are given to the University of South Australia for providing continuous and active knowledge as well as support, which fulfilled my thirst for information. While at the University, I never felt I missed on any knowledge. All of the course material was well organised and enthusiastically as well as imaginatively presented. It also incorporated presentations of recent developments in the field of my study. Additionally the assessment of my work was at the competitive level to other universities. Feedback provided was extremely helpful in determining the right path to achievement of my goals.
It needs to be emphasised that life at the University did not only involve studying. The social life is very much alive and shared among students. Barbeques and social events provide an opportunity to relax and network with other students and academic staff.
Currently I am situated at Codan Ltd, the leading South Australian company in provisions of long distance communication equipment. My position as the high frequency radio engineer allows me to work with leading edge technology. Without the University of South Australia I do not think I would have achieved my dreams and work with the latest technology in areas of my interest. I sincerely hope future students will experience the same enjoyments at the University as I have.
