Useful Information for Visitors
The University of South Australia
Visitors to the Institute are also a member of the wider community of the
School of Marketing and the
University of South Australia. Information about
the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute, the School of Marketing and the University of
South Australia (UniSA) are available at their respective websites.
Visas
Visitors are responsible for obtaining a visa, if required, to enter
Australia. Depending on the visitor scheme and the duration of visit,
different types of visas may be required. More information about visas is
available the Department of
Immigration and Citizenship website. The
Australian National University (ANU) currently has a rather comprehensive
website on
visa requirements for visiting academics.
Health Matters
Visitors may not be eligible for
Medicare, the Australian Government health
insurance scheme. As such, visitors are encouraged to arrange for their own
private medical insurance prior to the start of their visit. Information
regarding health and hospitalisation matters may be obtained from
Medicare
and the Department of Health and Ageing.
Adelaide and South Australia
Adelaide is the festival state of Australia. As a part of their overall
visit experience, we encourage our visitors, particularly those visiting for
the first time, to take the opportunity to experience and enjoy the food,
culture and places of interest that the city offers. Information can be
obtained from South Australia's official tourism website.
