Criminal History Screening and Professional Placement or Any Other Professional Experience Activity
DO YOU NEED TO APPLY FOR CLEARANCE?
This applies to ALL Programs where you are required to undertake a professional placement or any other professional experience activity involving working with minors in order to graduate.
YES - if you are a new student OR a student commencing a new program
YES - if you are a continuing student who has not already obtained a
Department of
Families and Communities (DFC) clearance
YES - if your clearance has expired (now required every three years)
YES - if your current Criminal History Screening clearance will expire
during your
professional experience placement or any other professional experience
activity
NO - if you are the holder of a current Teachers Registration Board
Certificate.

All persons with clearance prior to 1 January 2008, need to note that your clearance will expire 3 years from the date it was issued

All Criminal History Screening clearances required in South Australia will be carried out by the Department of Families and Communities (DFC)
