Online placement process
Practicum placements are administered by the Professional Experience Office. In the
majority of courses the process of allocation is assisted by student
online interaction with SONIA software, which matches student
preferences with available places in sites. Final placements are made by
the Course Coordinator and Practicum Office staff with reference to
individual student records, the course and program requirements, and the
conditions that limit student access to some placements. Students will
be notified by email by the Course Coordinator/Professional Experience Office of the
designated week(s) during the year when they are required to submit
preferences for a placement using SONIA.
