UniSA Volunteer Mentors for LMTC Students
Who can have a mentor?
If you are an international postgraduate Masters in Teaching student
enrolled at the
University of South Australia you can apply for a volunteer mentor.
What are the benefits for you?
A mentor can assist you to:
• learn about Australian culture
• increase your understanding and use
of local English
• gain some further insights about
teaching in local schools
What are mentors?
Mentors are skilled and committed professionals who are keen to meet,
support and encourage UniSA’s international students. They want to share
their knowledge and skills so that you’ll find it easier to adjust to living
and learning here.
UniSA Volunteer Mentors make a commitment to give some of their time to meet regularly with our international students. Usually a mentor and a student meet weekly at a place and time that suits both the mentor and the student. It’s a chance for both to develop an enjoyable ongoing friendship.
