Research Group

 

The Religion and Education Research Group aims to further scholarship and research in the field of the study of religion and the intersection between religion and education. It combines academics and students in the area of Religion Studies, which undertakes an empathetic approach to the study of all religions, with academics and students focussed primarily on Catholic Studies and Education. Developments around the globe in the 21st century have instigated a renewed interest in a number of areas of the study religion including both faith based religious understanding as well as the intersection between religion and society. Interest is evident in the number of students undertaking Religion Studies and Catholic Studies courses. Group members have been working collaboratively since 2007 to share and support research interests and professional development as well as encouraging students interested in exploring and undertaking research in the field.
