The 2009 EAS Higher Degrees by Research Forum was
held at the Magill Campus on 7 - 8 August 2009. It was a hugely
successful event attended by over 150 of our HDR and Honours students as
well as numerous staff.
The Forum commenced with 3 keynote speakers on
Friday night - Professor Bob Lingard from QUT, UniSA PhD Candidate Rosie
Roberts and Associate Professor Angela Scarino. On Saturday 40
students presented their work most professionally in parallel sessions
that were engaging for all and generated valuable discussion and
feedback.
Congratulations to the presenters and sincere
thanks to all attendees, including academic staff who refereed the
abstracts, chaired sessions and came to support their students.
Thanks also to the Research Office staff for their excellent
organisation. The annual Forum is a great opportunity for us to
acknowledge our research students and provide them with a supportive
environment to present their work.
