Division of Education, Arts and Social Sciences

2007 Postgraduate Research Forum

The Division of Education, Arts and Social Sciences is holding its Annual Division Postgraduate Research Forum on Saturday, 11 August 2007. This is a great opportunity for honours students, research degree candidates AND supervisors to present their work to their colleagues and to meet other researchers.

The Keynote Speaker will be Professor Barbara Pocock, Director of the Centre for Work and Life at the University of South Australia and author of The work-life collision and The labour market ate my kids.

If you would like to register for this event, please complete the online registration form.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Program
The program includes a one-hour keynote by Prof Barbara Pocock followed by six consecutive half-hour morning and afternoon sessions.  The program includes abstracts of the presentations and we would encourage you to choose which sessions you would like to attend and move between rooms, joining in any sessions that you would like to be a part of.  These sessions are designed to be interactive (so feel free to ask questions).  A printed version of the program will be available on the day.

Parking Arrangements
Parking is available free of charge on the weekend and can be entered off St Bernard's Road either in the tennis court opposite UniSA or adjacent to the oval.

Public Transport
Magill is only seven kilometres from central Adelaide.  The campus (Stop 20) is reachable from the city via bus route 106. The bus can be caught from Currie Street and Grenfell Street in the city. Use the entrance to the University near the bus stop.  The Forum is being held in the Amy Wheaton Building, H Building, the moderately modern building on your left as you enter the grounds (the oval is on the right).

A Magill Campus Map is available to help find your way around the campus.
