EASS Teaching and Learning Colloquium 2009

 

The theme: Innovation in Teaching and Learning

 

When: Wednesday 11th November, 2009

Keynote speaker:

Associate Professor Angela Brew - Student Engagement (Topic to be confirmed)

Angela Brew is Associate Professor in the Institute for Teaching and Learning at the University of Sydney. She is internationally renowned as a researcher and speaker and has worked in the UK and in Australia in the area of higher education for over thirty years. Her research on the nature of research and human knowing and its relationship to teaching has been published widely. To view some of her articles please click here.

 

Following Associate Professor Brew's presentation participants can choose to attend one or two 30 minute paper presentations by Division Academic Staff.

Abstract

You can now submit an abstract for a 30 minute presentation

 

Abstracts should address one of the colloquium strands:

  • Research on innovation in relation to practices to encourage student engagement

  • Innovation in teaching to foster engagement

  • Assessment and  student engagement

  • Students’ perspectives on teaching and learning


Abstracts should:

  • be no more than 200 words

  • be sent as an e-mail attachment

  • include three key words relating to the strand of the abstract

  • Include details:
         Name of session presenter/coordinator
         Position
         Contact details (address, telephone, fax, e-mail)
         Other presenter (if relevant)

 

Please send your abstract to ivy.hong@unisa.edu.au by Friday 16 October 2009.

 

Abstract Acceptance:  Acceptance of abstracts will be confirmed by 23 October 2009.   

Abstract Publication:  Abstracts will be published in the Abstracts booklet.
