Program Amendment and New Program Development
The Coursework Program Approval Manual (CPAM) can be viewed on the
Student and Academic Services
Program
approval and amendment site, or accessed from the PCMS homepage.
All new program developments for onshore and transnational programs should
be prepared in accordance with the timelines and processes set out in the
Coursework Program Approval Manual. From September 2011 program
developments/amendments and amendments to courses occur through the PCMS
system which can be accessed through myUniSA-myTeaching.links-resources.
New Programs
The School should complete a
program notification statement through PCMS before beginning
detailed development of a new program proposal. The School Board
should endorse the notification statement and advise the PCMS Activity ID to
either Mr Terry Harvey (PSW and CIL) or Ms Vicki Clark (AAD, ABT and EDS) who
will forward it to Mr Colin Smyth, Senior Academic Services Manager, for
submission to the Division Executive. Once approval in principle is received, the
School may prepare a full new program proposal through PCMS.
The full proposal should be endorsed by the School Board and forwarded to Division Academic Services for consideration by DAPAC. Supported proposals will then be taken forward to the Division Board and Academic Board.
Impact and Compliance Statements
Impact statements from the following
five units are required for all new
program proposals and all major amendments (Note: some major
amendments may require statements from only some of the specified units -
refer to CPAM):
- Student and Academic Services (SAS) email the full program documentation (PCMS generated report) to Sue Hallam with a request for a compliance statement (allow at least two weeks preparation time prior to DAPAC deadline for papers).
