The School of Communication
The school offers a wide variety of undergraduate and postgraduate awards, both coursework and
research, that meet the ever changing world of communication, media and
information. The School's focus on information technology is a key
distinguishing feature, enabling it to quickly develop courses,
programs, and modes of delivery which capitalise on, as well as critique
key features of the information society.
The School of Education
The school offers the largest range of teacher education
programs in South Australia. Programs are offered at the undergraduate
level in the following areas: Early Childhood; Junior Primary; Primary;
Secondary; Adult and Vocational Education and Inservice training.
Professional development is offered at the postgraduate level with a
variety of coursework and research programs, many of which are offered
via distance education or on-line.
The School of International Studies
The School of International Studies offers a range of innovative undergraduate and postgraduate programs,
which links students to professional careers on the global stage. Students are encouraged and supported
by the University to have professional experience through volunteer internships or to study abroad.
The School is also involved in an extensive range of international research,
teaching and exchange partnerships in Asia, United States, and Europe.

Smith School of Architecture and Design
The school offers unique cross-disciplinary learning, research and
consultancy opportunities anchored in an environment where critical
debate is encouraged and theory and practice are integrated through the
art and craft of making. The School offers programs in architecture,
interior architecture and industrial design at undergraduate and
postgraduate levels.
The School of
Psychology
The school offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programs in
many areas of Psychology with emphasis on professional-vocational and
applied rather than pure experimental areas of psychology. The
School's programs focus on skills based 'activities', as these apply to
research, teaching and consultancy.
The School of Social
Work and Social Policy
The school provides high quality educational programs in social work and
the human services at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Programs
are also provided to enhance the skills of those already involved in the
human service professions and the community.
The South Australian
School of Art (SASA)
The school offers a range of undergraduate, Honours and postgraduate
programs in Visual Arts, Visual Communication and Design. SASA is one of
the oldest art schools in Australia commencing in 1856 and boasts the
state's most comprehensive art, craft and design library.
The Unaipon School
The school offers undergraduate and post
graduate programs in Aboriginal Policy and Management, Aboriginal
Studies, Australian Studies and double degrees with Social Work and the
Human Services. Double degrees are also in the process of being
introduced with the Division of Business and Enterprise.
