Deepening Australian Histories of Place

This lecture is the first of three in a series by Alan Mayne on the topic of Australian Studies and Indigenous Studies held jointly between the Hawke Research Institute and the David Unaipon College of Indigenous Education and Research.

How should the history of Australia be told? What are the problems that continue to prevent an ancient, Indigenous history becoming part of Australian history? Where would the legends that David naipon collected fit into such a story?

Presented by: Professor Anne McGrath
Time: 2.30pm - 4.30pm
Date:
