Advanced tutorial on workflow management: Models, Methods and Systems
Given by Wil van der Aalst, 24 June 2002, Adelaide, Australia
Programme
The course offered a one-day introduction to workflow management, the
management of business processes with information technology.
By
defining, analyzing, and redesigning an organization's resources and
operations, workflow management systems ensure that the right
information reaches the right person or computer application at the
right time.
The course provided a basic overview of workflow terminology
and available systems, as well as detailed coverage of workflow modelling
and workflow analysis using Petri nets. Participants are expected to
have basic knowledge of Petri nets.
