Summer School accommodation information

If you have enrolled to attend a Summer Course in Whyalla you can book into the On Campus Residential Accommodation just for that period.

Quantitative Methods in Business - 6th to 15th January 2010

Earliest arrival date Tuesday 5 January 2010

Latest departure date Saturday 16 January 2010

Charges: $330.00 (must supply own bedding including pillows and blankets)

Closing Date for Applications: Friday 18 December 2009

Mediation Processes, Concepts and Skills A - 1st to 5th February 2010

Earliest arrival date Sunday 31 January 2010.

Latest departure date Saturday 6 February 2010

Charges: $180.00 (must supply own bedding including pillows and blankets)

Closing Date for Applications: Wednesday 27 January 2010

Booking forms and payments must be received by the closing date above. Full refunds will be made if cancellation is received at least 48 hours prior to the arrival date. Cancellations received without appropriate notice will have a $30.00 administration fee deducted.

No refund is available to anyone leaving early.

PLEASE NOTE;

The accommodation you are booking is a single room for one person only. The Village does not have double or twin rooms. If you have friends, partners, etc coming with you or visiting you during this period, separate arrangements must be made with the Accommodation and Facilities Coordinator.

If you are found to have an unauthorised person staying with you, you may be fined up to $50.00 per night for that person.

If friends are also attending Summer School and you wish to be placed in the same unit, every effort will be made to accommodate this, however you must advise the Accommodation and Facilities Coordinator when making your booking.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

The Whyalla Student Village is made up of 11 individual units with each unit accommodating 8 people. Bedrooms are in single configuration, supplied with bed, mattress, built-in robes, book shelves, desk, lamp, chair and reverse cycle air conditioning. Bathrooms and toilets are shared with one other person and are located directly opposite your bedroom door. The living area is shared by the 8 people, and is fully furnished with crockery, cutlery, cookware etc. Fridge, microwave, stove and television are also supplied in the shared area. Laundry and ironing facilities are available in each unit, and there is also a coin operated automatic washing machine and tumble dryer available in a separate building.

You will need to provide your own bedding, sheets, blankets, pillows, towels etc. You must provide and cook your own food. You need to provide all other consumables including laundry detergent and toilet paper.

At night the Village is well lit, and personal escorts by our Security staff are available to and from the Campus and the Village if requested.

The Whyalla Campus prides itself on being able to offer a safe and secure environment to all of our students.
