Social Work and Rural Practice

 Social Work and Rural Practice provides a range of quality education, research and consultancy services designed to meet the needs of individuals, human services organizations and regional communities. These activities are underpinned by a commitment to the principles of human dignity, social justice, service to humanity, respect for diversity, integrity and competence.

Staff work very closely with the Australian Association of Social Workers to ensure that the degree program reflects the need of the profession.

Social Work degree

The undergraduate degree in Social Work is a fully accredited four year on-campus program preparing students for professional practice, with a particular focus on rural and regional issues. It attracts women and men from diverse backgrounds and ages for full or part-time studies, with credit recognition available for prior learning experiences.

Career opportunities are excellent with many graduates working in a diverse range of positions in both rural and city based locations.

UniSA Foundation Studies 

This program is a one year preparatory program to assist prospective degree students to achieve entry into preferred programs.
