Social Work graduates are employed by a wide variety of government and non government organisations in a diverse range of positions making a positive contribution to many individuals and communities, by:

Providing:

Relationship counselling, drug/alcohol/gambling rehabilitation counselling, life skills training, information advocacy, critical incident response, grief counselling, case management, conflict resolution, survivor counselling and support, family therapy, community development, research, education, child protection, assessment and referral, consultancy and advisory services.

Working with:

Young families, the elderly, sick or incapacitated, students, unemployed, separating couples, individuals, organisations, refugees, migrants, indigenous people, communities, the disadvantaged, committees, people in prison, on parole or probation.

Working towards:

Increasing choices, empowerment, independence, self-determination, positive change, improved access to services, social justice for all, making environments more supportive, disseminating knowledge, resolving conflict, increasing respect for diversity and individuals right to self fulfilment and dignity, change in social policy.
