About the C3 group
Creative Cultures & Communication (C3)
The Creative Cultures & Communication group (C3) operates within the School of Communication, and is situated at the idyllic Magill Campus of the University of South Australia. The School has over 1000 undergraduate and post graduate students and comprises the largest concentration of teaching and research into all aspects of communications in the university.
The research group supports the school's approximately 80 research students throughout their candidacy, including an active seminar series throughout the year. The centre is also attached to one of the largest and long established communications and journalism schools in Australia.

A major strength of the research group is its diversity of research. The group is closely linked with the Hawke Institute and the Research Centre for Gender Studies and staff from the school engage in these centres of research. The research centre is closely linked to the division research for academic and administrative support of research students.
Some of the many hot topics taught and researched in the C3,other centres and school include:
- film
and television studies;

- information and knowledge management;
- print and broadcast journalism;
- media and professional ethics;
- public relations and communication management;
- multimedia and video production;
- cultural and gender studies;
- professional, technical and creative writing;
- internet communication.
The group is attached to the School of Communication; and draws its research expertise from the following staff. A complete list of Staff on the research register, who are able to supervise prospective and existing research candidates.
