Copying for Educational Purposes
As a University of South Australia staff member, you are responsible for ensuring that your teaching materials comply with the University’s obligations under the Australian Copyright Act. The University of South Australia pays annual license fees the Copyright Agency Limited, Screenrights, and the Music Collecting Societies to facilitate copying and communication of electronic, audiovisual and hard copy materials by its staff for the educational purposes of the University.
Where copying and communication of third party copyright material is done in reliance on these licenses
- Access MUST be restricted to University of South Australia staff and students
- The copying and communication MUST be for the educational purposes of the University
- Copying and communication limits MUST be observed
- Prescribed Warning Notices MUST be displayed
