Community
UniSA
aims to be distinguished for engaging and working in partnership with
communities to build social capacity and community resilience, and for
developing professionalism and good citizenship in graduates.
This engagement commitment - our Regional, Industry and Community Engagement Strategy - applies in five key areas:
- innovative and effective access
- highly engaged education and research
- social responsibility and civic mindedness
- development of business opportunities
- embedded responsibility for engagement at all levels of the University
This strategy supports excellence in academic programs and the achievement of collaboratively agreed social and economic objectives through partnership activities. Relationships are based on principles of reciprocity, mutual benefit, equality of status, and the public good and occur within local, national and international communities.
The publication Engaging Our Communities (PDF 910kb - download Adobe Acrobat) provides information on a range of engagement activities involving our staff and students.
