Students will be able to analyse and plan financial matters for organisations from a range of sectors. They will also learn the skills that enable them to manage and provide the essential information that businesses need to make successful financial and management decisions.

The program provides strong links to industry, the accounting profession and its professional organisations, which keeps the degree fresh, relevant, recognised and respected. These links prepare students for a vibrant, challenging career path, both locally and globally.

This degree is designed to enable students to fulfil the essential functions of an accountant and business advisor in commerce, government or public practice. Students will also develop an understanding of the economic, legal and political influences that affect the business environment.

UniSA Commerce graduates satisfy the academic requirements stipulated for entry into relevant professional accounting bodies and are equipped for life-long learning to further enhance their skills.


Professional Recognition

This program satisfies the educational requirements of Associate Membership with CPA Australia and qualify as a Chartered Accountant with The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, depending on the courses taken (Notes 3 and 4).
Graduation from this program has been recognised by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) as fulfilling requirements for maximum exemption in the ACCA's professional program.
