- PRRES Conference
What: 18th Pacific Rim Real Estate Society Conference

The PRRES Conference is the signature event for the
Pacific Rim Real Estate Society and this
conference has achieved an 'A' rating with the Excellence in Research for
Australia (ERA) initiative.
The 2012 18th PRRES Conference will be hosted by the School of Commerce at
the University of South Australia. The conference will include presentations
from Australian and International speakers at the forefront of research and
policy-making and brings together a multi-disciplinary group of leading
property researchers and policy makers from throughout the Pacific Rim
region. It also advances understanding and cooperation between educators and
the property industry in an increasingly complex industry. The PRRES
conference attracts delegates from Australia, New Zealand, Singapore,
Malaysia, Philippines, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Taipei, South Africa,
England, America, Canada, Germany and Spain.

- Award winning teaching staff
Congratulations to the School of Commerce's Accounting Lecturer Dr Mei Lim who has recently been awarded an Australian Learning and Teaching Council award for Citations for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning. These national awards are presented to people who have made a significant contribution to the quality of student learning over a sustained period. The citations have a prize value of $10,000 each and we are pleased that all of the nominations submitted by UniSA were successful.
Dr Lim received her award for motivation, inspiring, and engaging students through approaches that foster life-long learning and the capacity for professional and personal achievement.
The School wishes to congratulate her on this wonderful achievement!

- Behavioural Finance and Capital Markets Conference CALL FOR PAPERS
What: The Centre for Applied Financial Studies
specialised conference Behavioural Finance and Capital Markets

- National Symposium: The Future of Property Education in Australia REGISTER NOW

- School of Commerce Prizes, Awards and Scholarships Presentation Ceremony 2011
The School's Prizes, Awards and Scholarships Presentation Ceremony for outstanding academic achievement in 2010 was held on April 7th at the Adelaide Pavilion.
The night was a wonderful success with over 90 students and guests, corporate sponsors and academic staff in attendance. Over 30 prizes and 4 scholarships and grants were awarded to students of School of Commerce programs. Awards ranged from monetary prizes to book vouchers to subscriptions to online study resources.
Congratulations to each of the recipients and thank you to our sponsors for their ongoing support.

The first edition of Property Matters the Property discipline newsletter is now available.
This edition covers the Property Speed Networking event, Property student Alastair Boucaut's overseas study program, the property discipline's recent research achievements, the Pacific Rim Real Estate Society Case Competition in Wellington and much more.
