About: The event was secured by the Adelaide Tang Soo Do Academy in a bid supported by the Adelaide Convention Tourism Authority and the South Australian Tourism Commission.  Tang Soo Do is martial art which traces its origins to Korea.

"Students respond differently, some are highly attracted to number crunching and prefer to think in terms of short-term finances. These are the sceptics. But an increasing cohort is interested in management and operations of non-profit organisations."

AFAANZ Conference 2009

The *AFAANZ Conference was held from Sun.5 - Tue.7 July 2009 at the Adelaide Convention Centre. AFAANZ is the premier body representing the interests of accounting and finance academics and other persons interested in accounting and finance education and research in Australia and New Zealand.

Kellie Murton (Commerce/Applied Finance student) represented UniSA  at the 7th Australasian Conference on Social and Environmental Accounting (A-CSEAR 2008)

Kellie's attendance and participation at A-CSEAR 2008 was sponsored by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). 

Kellie's sponsorship was merit selected by the Centre for Accounting, Governance and Sustainability (CAGS) on the basis of her excellent results in the following courses: Management Accounting and Global Issues for Accounting.

Thanks to CIMA Kellie had her first opportunity to experience an academic conference and meet national and international speakers and presenters.
