Working Links2008 Seminar Series
Corporate governance and boardroom accountability: lessons from the top
About: Remarkably little is known about what goes on in the top-floor
inner sanctums of private, public and non-profit sector boardrooms. Yet they
have a profound impact on corporate performance and accountability. Lee
Parkers presentation gives us a fly-on-the-wall insight into corporate
governance based on his own board-level research and drawing on latest
international research and practice. What are a directors role and
responsibilities for strategic management, organisational control and
internal boardroom governance? Lee examines all the processes,
highlighting implications for future practice in boardroom corporate
governance.
Target Audience: Business community, students, alumni and academic
staff

When: Tuesday 26 August
Where: Bradley Forum, Hawke Building, City West campus, UniSA, North
